The Big E, an annual event billed as “New England’s Great State Fair,” is the largest cultural event on the eastern seaboard and the sixth largest fair in the nation. Each of the New England states is prominently represented at the fair. The College celebrated its 100th anniversary with a multitude of events throughout the academic year, starting with a display booth at the Big E on September 12, 1984 and ending with a centennial film festival on June 2, 1985.
